This past Saturday night, a 22-year-old gunman entered Club Q in Colorado Springs and immediately opened fire, killing 5 people and injuring at least 19 others. Thankfully, patrons of the club confronted and stopped him.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the attack on our Qmmunity.* It is especially difficult that this shooting came on the eve of Transgender Day of Remembrance, Nov. 20. We want you to know that Family Eldercare and Rainbow Connections ATX stand with Club Q and their patrons. Every person should feel safe and secure in their Qmmunity.
Through our program, Rainbow Connections ATX, we strive to improve the quality and vitality of life for LGBTQIA2+ adults. If you are feeling alone, frustrated, angry, or sad due to the shooting in Colorado Springs, reach out to one of the organizations listed below. They stand ready to help.
