Internships

Family Eldercare has placements for interns seeking a degree in a variety of fields. Family Eldercare is registered with the University of Texas School of Social Work and Texas State University School of Social Work and can provide placements and supervision for BSW and MSW students. Placements vary by semester.

Family Eldercare also places Housing Needs VISTA! Americorps members to support solutions to transition people out of homelessness. Many of our interns and former Americorps members go on to work at Family Eldercare.

Public Student Loan Forgiveness

Employment at our organization may qualify you for federal student loan forgiveness programs. We do not directly pay for – nor forgive – federal student loans; however our status as a not-for-profit organization under Section 501 (c) (3), makes us an eligible employer.
